Katie Leonard, Ph.D.

Katie holds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech, with an emphasis on Human-Integrated Systems. She brings more than 20 years of experience applying Human Factors principles across diverse industries, including educational technologies, medical devices, banking, control rooms, dashboard design, mobile devices, and consumer electronics.

Katie has taught graduate-level courses on mobile experience, usability, and business analysis, and she is a contributing author of more than 25 publications, including books, journal articles, and conference papers. Her work focuses on user-centered design, human-computer interaction, accessibility, and Human Factors research processes, making her a trusted expert in creating systems that are both safe and effective.
